GCOS-WCRP-GOOS Ocean Observations Panel for Climate
The Ocean Observations Panel for Climate (OOPC) is a scientific expert advisory group charged with making recommendations for developing and evaluating a system of sustained global ocean observations for climate.  The OOPC is the ocean component of the Global Climate Observing System in Support of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.  The IOC of UNESCO serves as the technical secretariat for this Panel.
